HOME DECOR: Fresh Flowers Or Artificial Flowers

I am forever looking at ways to decorate my home and I love nothing more than having a weekly bunch of fresh flowers - when I can afford them! Fresh flowers can be costly so I've been looking at artificial flowers as an alternative, having looked around at various places in town they can be costly with the nice ones starting at £30! So I resulted in browsing around online and came across *SammyDress who offer a very affordable range. As you will have seen from my last mini home update my home is a very neutral pallet so anything bright instantly lifts the whole room up even if it's a simple pot of greenery like the one above which only costs £2.52 and you can pick up a similar vase cheap enough from somewhere like Ikea.
The above are my favourite picks from their website. The Lavender bunch on the top left only costs £6.01 and it would it perfect to have 2 of them on the balcony all year round and the tulips £2.10 are a good option for the dining table all year round. Since these flowers are all so cheap you could just buy a load of different varieties and have a go at flower arrangements and see what you can come up with. The best thing of all is you can see them at props for your blog photos which can be very effective. So what are your thoughts on artificial flowers for your home and can you tell these are artificial flowers?

  1. I love silk flowers, and have various fake plants in my house. They look so realistic though and friends alwasy comment on how good they look. Love your picks here!

    1. I have a few myself but the ones I see in store here usually start around £25+ and the bigger pots are more pretty but so expensive!
