Last Friday I was lucky enough to be invited to the Southampton Lush store bloggers event after work. On arrival there the staff there laid on a table with various nibbles including vegan cupcakes and various drinks while we mingled with other bloggers. The evening was spent making fresh face masks (my favourite part) and we each had a reading on the "emotional brilliance wheel" and we each received a generous goody bag to take home including a mystery give away for our readers.
So onto the masks we made fresh Cupcake (deep cleansing) and Catastrophe Cosmetic (moisturising) - the staff were so knowledgeable on where all the ingredients came from so that was really interesting. Quite often we buy products based on their selling points rather than look at the back to see what the ingredients are and that's even if we even understand it! I have so far tried the Catastrophe Cosmetic blueberry mask and I am definitely purchasing more. My face felt so moisturised after - review coming up very soon.
After making the masks we moved over to the "emotional brilliance" wheel where we had to close our eyes while the wheel was spinning and soon as we open our eyes we have to pick 3 colours very quickly and each colour represents a word telling us how we were feeling that day. I picked believe, wise and dynamic which I would say is pretty spot on hehe....
The evening flew by because I was having so much fun chatting with other bloggers and before we knew it the evening came to an end. The staff had baked a huge cake - my all time FAVOURITE bubble bar the creamy candy!!!! The cake got sliced up so everyone received a huge slice to take home and enjoy over the bank holiday weekend. As the evening came to an end we were also given a huge generous bag of goodies to take home including the masks we made earlier in the
