A few weekends ago I had afternoon tea catching up with the girls at Ebb & Flow in Southampton. Finally we have something different opening up in Southampton! Southampton is relatively big but yet we seem to struggle for food / cafes and it's just flooded with the likes of Costa / Starbucks. As much as I like these places I do crave for something a little difference which is why I am always in London. Soon as one of the girls suggested this place I was definitely up for it!
It's spacious inside with plenty of seating and a rather extensive menu with a variety of choices, there is something to suit everyone. Eat in / take out either is fine, if only this was closer to my work it would be the perfect option for end of the month lunch treat.
English tea is a must with any afternoon tea and the milk came in cute milk bottles and the cutlery came in these beautiful pastel coloured watering cans. You just help yourself to what ever you need in this section and there are a variety of sauces available.
Sones are definitely a favourite of mine, they were made fresh and they tasted delicious! Nothing better than scones with a huge dollop of clotted cream and strawberry jam...yum yum. However the best bit has got to be the fresh energy boost juice (bottom photo) consisted of orange juice / strawberrys / banana. I absolutely love the decor of this place...I don't even know how to describe just look at the photos and let me know what you think.
If ever you are around this area I would highly recommend you pay them a visit. I will be popping back with the girls next weekend for another afternoon catch up and I am looking forward to trying out something else from the menu!
This looks so nice, im so jealous =]

I know, I def think its the decor which makes this place even more appealing. We don't really have anything like this in my area and it's usually all the usual chain places. x
DeleteThis looks so lovely! I would love something like this near where I live but my town is practically made up of takeaways, hairdressers, pubs and poundshops haha.

I was just saying exactly the same thing in the comment above. Our town is usually all the chain places and this place is so different and the food is delicious! Thanks always for your lovely comments Kathryn x
