I am back with another restaurant review at the beautiful Southampton WestQuay watermark. Last month we visited *Kupp. Kupp is all about creating casual dining with a strong focus on specialty coffee and one that embraces Scandinavian and sharing what they love! They offer all day casual dining, grazing, drinking and socialising. Their menu offers lots of dishes perfect for sharing with a group of friends and family. 
We arrived early for our 6pm dinner booking so I was able to take lots of photos to share with you all so you can appreciate how beautiful this restaurant is and the simple decor and finishing touches. It was a warm day so the windows were folded down which was really nice because it felt like you were sitting outside but you weren't.
First up was my non alcoholic cocktail which was a mix of mango and pineapple and some cranberry juice possibly at the bottom and a wedge of lime on top served with plenty of crushed ice. It was just the two of us and we decided to order a few bits to share so we can try more. This is the classic Smorgasboard and this is the fish one as we both love seafood. Its a long platter with a bit of everything - beetroot cured Norweigan gravadlax, oak and apple wood house smoked mackerel & trout. Nordic prawns, roast beetroot, potato salad, pickled vegetables, mustard & dill sauce, freshly baked rye bread and leksands knacke crispbread. We also had a side portion of Carpaccio of hot smoked vension and scandi slaw.
I really enjoyed loading all the different flavours onto the crispbread as all the flavours all work really well together and the sauces were delicious. The board plus a side was perfect for 2 people even though it didn't look a lot when it arrived but once you start picking at all the food you fill up really quickly. It was a shame there was just the two of us so we were limited to just trying one Smorgasboard, we will head back with a few more so we can try all the boards.

The restaurant also offered a mini store with plenty of bits and pieces to buy from the crispbread to dips. The restaurant is big, airy and open plan so it can accommodate large party's. The kitchen is also half open plan so you can walk past and easily see what the chefs are up to which is great.
This is another great and different offering from Southampton WestQuay's watermark and I am sure it will be a hit with many locals as it's offering something different!
