I am back with another restaurant review at the beautiful Southampton WestQuay watermark Cosmo Buffet. If you missed the previous ones you can catch up here: L'Osteria, Thaikhun, The Real Greek, Red Dog Saloon, Bills, Carluccio and Kupp.
We visited just before Christmas as it was the perfect location to grab some lunch while doing Christmas shopping. We arrived shortly after noon and I am so glad we did because about 30 min into our lunch the queue was out of the door with waiting times of around 1 hour! I quickly filled up a plate for the little one so she can start eating with hubby looking after her and I can take my time picking what I want. They offer a great selection for children and it's definitely a popular place for families with kids all ages. They offer lots of fried food finger food like spring rolls, prawn crackers, potato bites, samosa's through to burgers, macaroni cheese and pizza for the fussy kids and a huge pudding selection. I can see this place being popular for birthdays, no need to worry about catering for different diets. This place is definitely a stylish and modern chain dining with Pan-Asian cooking stations and global banquet options.
Plenty of salad / fruit options so you can have a little bit from each of the cooking stations. The good goes incredibly fast so nothing is really left kept warm for more than 45 minutes I would say and they are also as quick to refill everything. Because it was incredibly busy with people everywhere it was rather difficult to take photos so this is the best out of the bunch to share with you all.
There are *Cosmo restaurants scattered all over UK so click here to find your nearest. If you are going as a group I would strongly recommend you pre-book to avoid waiting at the door for ages especially if you have kids who cannot wait for their food.
