I have known about Spot In The Woods on the edge of the New Forest for a while now, it was one of those places you have on your list to try but just never quiet get round to it. We were child free, managed to finish my "to do list" fairly quickly that weekend and found ourselves free to eat out somewhere for a very late brunch so we headed down for the afternoon.
This place is rather hidden, if it wasn't for social media I wouldn't have known it existed. It's hidden on the outskirts of the New Forest surrounded by greenery and it's actually a Boutique style hotel off the A35 road which is 3 miles from the New Forest. Free parking onsite which is always great and they have a cafe area for food which is where we ate and a cute little shop, dogs are also welcome in the cafe area!
As you can see from the photos there is a large lovely decking area overlooking the huge garden where there is plenty of garden table / chairs and room for the kids to runaround. Plenty of cushions / blankets in the decking area for you to keep warm on a colder day.
Hubby went for the classic English breakfast and I opted for the vegan one, both delicious with our hot cups of tea / coffee.
It's a lovely place to catch up with friends and extremely child / dog friendly which is also a bonus for families like us. For the both of us from memory the bill came to just under £30 which I thought was a tad expensive but lets be honest nothing is cheap these days for anything. I would recommend this place especially during the warmer weather as it's lovely to just sit outside and have a good natter.
